Christians, will you please help me understand this verse?

I believe that if we apply this verse to today's standards, there isn't anything wrong with adorning yourself, if you're not doing it for the wrong reasons. It's basically saying that you should be plain, and not be going all out to look beautiful. If you are married, and you are beautifying yourself for the attraction of other men, then you have a problem. Other than that, I think you're ok.God bless.
